    "A" for apprenti....a hard lesson learned here,je pense!

    The red A on a circle is the French equivalent to the green L in a square denoting a newly qualified driver in the UK.It has to be shown on the vehicle during the first year of unaccompanied driving.

    While "learning" in the UK when an accompanying qualified driver must also be present as passenger,a red L on a white square must be shown.
