What a great site! Very informative.

Also interested in putting an LED to my heater control. What size of LED did you use, and how did you connect the wiring to the wires below the radio?

Don't know the size, but you can make the hole as big or as small as you want.

Look at picture 4 to see how to connect it.

Trying to research how to fit the LED. However I ve tried to buy the red wire connectors to the radio wires. I ve noticed you can buy them the connectors with different AMPS. What amp do I need for the wire connectors?

what a great site! This is the first 'mod' I have done to my 107, and it looks well cool! I have used a 3mm LED which is just right for the 'imprint' on the button. This 10 minute mod improves the heater control panel a lot - they should come with an LED from the factory! At least now I know what position the button is in at night time! Thanks Guido!

    People!

Plwease note you have to connect the cables to the wires connecting to the middle of the radio.

Red does got the green grey wire,

but the black ACTUALLY goes to the white grey wire BUT with the BLACK cable running through it.

Luckily I studied the photos first before connecting.

I soldered an LED to cables and tried to put them through the hole.... but there is the large plug behind the axle. Where exactly did you route the cables through the console?

Hi its not as simple as it looks its took me 3 hours to get it to fit and im still not done i had to drill a hole in the heater part just to get the cable through , Also if you connect to the hazards is the bulb on all the time even when you turn the car off ??

Maybe you can use the + and - from your 12v supply this part is switched on the ignition.

If you connect to the hazard light one benth the radio as the power is on constant this must mean that the light will shine all the time even when you turn the car off it will still be on
