All well and good, but how much to convert? Probably more than you'd save..

Looks like it's about £1500-2000 to convert it. On their webpage they have a new base model Aygo price of £8500, and the toyota site lists the base as £7000.

You'd only save an extra £5 per year on the road tax, but if you were driving into London 5 times a week you'd save £2000 in 50 weeks so it could be worth it. So not a bad deal.

Hi eco cars here ..good to see you like our Aygo/C1's on LPG ..just like to correct gordon ..the 'normal' road tax for these cars is £35.00 ..but as we change them to 'alternative fuel car' with DVLA ..this then come down to £15.00 a saving of £20.00 .BUT from next april 2009 our lpg aygos /C1's will pay nothing ..yes ZERO £00.00's ..under the new road tax rules. These cars are also exempt from the congestion charge in London....feel free to contact us if you have any more questions ...regards jonathan
